I am ready for 2015!!
Looking back on the any tough season of golf you could look at it as a succession of failures and missed cuts, or you can try to see the silver lining. Mentally, the game of golf had wore me so thin, that by the end of the season I had to take a break and think of what it is I truly want to be doing and why golf was stressing me out so much. I was trying so hard to make things happen and I wasn’t necessarily letting them happen. I’ve found that the best things I’ve encountered in life happened to be the things that you least expect, where you were in the right place at the right time and it just…happened. I decided I was going to be better about going with the flow and letting go. I realized all the wonderful things that happened last year…I met so many great, supportive people out on the road and I got to travel for a whole season and get that additional experience that any competitive player needs. I found local caddies who were so excited to be part of the team and carry my bag for the week and I met wonderful host families. I went to some amazing concerts (grew to really love country! and even got to be backstage at the Grand Ole Opry), and visited some cool cities (Asheville, Nashville, Chicago, Toronto, and shoutout to New Ipswitch just to name a few). I learned so much about my golf swing, what I can’t do and think and what I am fully capable of, which really helped my “feel” player mentality understand mechanics a lot more. On paper, my stats, and everything else may state otherwise, but I’m willing to look at 2014 as a building and growing year and the another great thing about it is….it’s in the past! Time to move forward and continue to grow and improve each day. I’m excited to launch this new website and blog so I can jot down my thoughts and experiences, so I hope you follow along!
