Symetra Tour Players to Attend Orlando Solar Bears Hockey Game

AYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Symetra Tour, the official Road to the LPGA, makes a stop in Longwood for the IOA Golf Classic during the week of March 24. Four Symetra Tour players will make an appearance at the Wednesday, March 26 Orlando Solar Bears game against the Cincinnati Cyclones at Amway Center in Orlando. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m.

The Solar Bears are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota Wild.

Prominent future LPGA Tour stars Emily Talley, Jackie Stoelting, Maiya Tanaka and Sara-Maude Juneau will be on hand to root on the Solar Bears.

The Symetra Tour players will participate in on-ice promotions throughout the night. In addition, Solar Bears fans will have the opportunity to win tickets to the IOA Golf Classic, which will be contested at Alaqua Country Club. The first-round begins on Friday, March 28.

"The players are excited to step outside the ropes and enjoy a top notch Orlando Solar Bears game at Amway Center," said Chief Business Officer, Mike Nichols. "We look forward to returning the favor and welcoming Solar Bears players to the IOA Golf Classic next weekend."

Talley, who won Golf Channel's reality series Big Break NFL with teammate Jerry Rice, ranks seventh on the Volvik Race for the Card money list. She finished tied for third at the first event of the year, the Visit Mesa Gateway Classic.

Stoelting, who is on the current Golf Channel series Big Break Florida, has conditional status on the LPGA Tour. The former national champion at Florida Southern College finished 22nd on the money list in 2013.

Tanaka, who appeared on the reality shows Big Break Sandals and Amazing Race 20, has been on the Symetra Tour since 2010. Tanaka played college golf at UCLA.

Juneau, a big hockey fan who has already been to a handful of Solar Bears games, finished 12th on the Symetra Tour money list in 2012. The Quebec, Canada native played a full LPGA Tour schedule last year and is aiming for a return.

"We are pleased to partner with the LPGA and the IOA Golf Classic to promote the upcoming tournament," said Jason Siegel, Managing Partner and CEO of the Orlando Solar Bears. "We look forward to having a number of the golfers join us on Wednesday at our game."
